Senior / Lead QA Engineer

This AI software house has already made a significant mark in the industry, positioned to emerge as the next success story in Cambridge. Upon joining, you will become a part of a dynamic team engaged in weekly release cycles, diligently identifying and resolving bugs in the code.

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum+ excellent benefits

Requirements for Lead QA Engineer:

• Strong commercial experience as a QA/Test Engineer, where you have mentored and led junior team members
• This company values a strong academic history and requires Strong commercial experience as a QA/Test Engineer, having achieved at least ABB at A-Level (or equivalent UCAS points)
• A mix of both automated and manual testing experience
• Brilliant problem-solving skills
• Keen to continuously develop and learn new technologies & skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

QA Engineer Responsibilities:

Mentoring and leading a team of junior QA Engineers where the team has responsibility for:

• Serving as a vital bridge between Development and Product teams, comprehending product specifications, and ensuring anticipated behavior.
• Posing hypothetical scenarios to validate software performance during exploratory testing.
• Employing a keen investigative mindset to uncover overlooked edge cases and user workflows.
• Crafting comprehensive manual test sets to guarantee broad coverage.
• Identifying testing areas ripe for improvement.
• Vigilantly tracking metrics to gauge the quality of each release, assessing its performance on production systems.
• Formulating tests to validate the product's end-to-end functionality
• Understanding and addressing defects as they arise, contributing to their resolution, and expanding QA systems to preempt any potential recurrence in the future.
