Our client is actively seeking to recruit for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their In-House legal team, providing expert legal support across a diverse range of commercial agreements and regulatory matters. This role offers the perfect blend of flexibility and responsibility, with just one day a week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Agreements: Review, negotiate, and draft a broad range of commercial contracts, with a focus on IT/Tech, supply, and distribution agreements.
- Data Protection & Compliance: Provide legal advice and ensure compliance with data protection regulations, including GDPR, and oversee related compliance activities.
- Financial Services Regulation: Support the business in navigating financial services regulations, ensuring that all activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various departments across the business, offering legal guidance and ensuring that all contracts and agreements align with the company's objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations, ensuring that the company's legal interests are protected.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- UK qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years PQE ideally with an In-House background, PP candidates will also be considered.
- Expertise in reviewing, negotiating, and drafting a wide range of commercial agreements, ideally having handled IT/Tech and Supply & Distribution contracts.
- Proven knowledge of data protection laws and compliance requirements.
- Experience within the financial services or Insurance sector would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver to tight deadlines.
