Our established retail sector client based in Manchester are recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant to join the growing team. This exciting opportunity is now live as they have gone through real growth and expansion over the last few years. As a result they need a Senior Management Accountant who can add value and contribute commercially within the business supporting the Financial Controller and CFO, you will get involved in various projects which will give you the commercial exposure most Accountants crave for.This Senior Management Accountant role is to manage and assist in the daily finance tasks for the finance function, this is a commercially influencing role that can add some real value in a fast paced organisation.Senior Management Accountant Responsibilities include -

• Manage the preparation and completion of Management Accounts including full P&L commentary 
• Ensure all month end cost journals are calculated and processed accurately and on a timely basis for key account lines in the P&L.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis, investigate and resolve any variances on a timely basis.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Develop strong working relationships with all areas of the business.
• Assist in year-end audit
• Adhere to reporting deadlines.
• Assist with departmental and wider business projects

To be successful in your application  for this role you MUST have the following experience

Senior Management Accountant Experience Required

• Strong qualified accountant already or newly qualified (ACCA /ACA/ CIMA).
• Experience of working within a Retail/Wholesale or FMCG related business is desirable but not essential
• Experience of working within a fast paced organisation
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all outputs.
• Excellent excel skills.
• Strong commercial acumen
• Exceptional communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
• Proactive and resilient self-starter, a team player, passionate and motivated with the ability to inspire others around them
