The role involves producing management accounts for three key entities within the group, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and driving efficiencies in financial processes. - Prepare management accounts for three entities within a two-week reporting window.
- Consolidate and analyse financial data to provide insights for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and oversee a finance team of two, ensuring efficient operations.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.
Process Improvement:
- Develop and automate financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency.
- Leverage advanced Excel skills to streamline data collection and analysis.
- Work with the finance system to manage financial data effectively.
Audit and Compliance:
- Prepare audit files and support the external audit process.
- Address audit queries and implement recommendations as needed.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the group entities.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
Key Skills and Experience:Essential:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and automation tools.
- Proven track record in management accounts preparation within strict deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience in the service industry or similar sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Team management or supervisory experience.
- Audit preparation and liaison experience.
