Senior Management Accountant - Reed : Job Details

REED Accountancy and Finance are recruiting on behalf of a family run business who specialise in caring and supporting people over the last 40 years. As a result of fast and continuing growth, they are recruiting a Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or Part Qualified Accountant to join the finance team.

Senior Management Accountant (Opportunity to progress available)

Salary - £50,000 - £65,000 per annum 

Fully Office based in Weymouth 

Key responsibilities

• Management Reporting: Preparing and presenting monthly financial performance reports, KPI analysis and ad-hoc reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Month-End Close: Managing the month-end closing process, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Variance Analysis: Conducting detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, providing explanations for variances
• Team Support: Providing support and guidance on accounting best practices and professional development.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process by collaborating with department heads to align with strategic goals and financial targets.
• Cost Control and Efficiency Improvement: Monitor and analyse business costs, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting measures to optimize financial performance.

Your Skillset: 

• Fully (or nearly) qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA Accountant.
• Proactive individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable leading a small team 
• Results driven
