Senior Marine & Energy Liability Underwriter - Insight Recruitment Solutions Limited : Job Details

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a London market insurance group for an experienced Marine and Energy Liability Underwriter to join and help build their offering to the market. As a key part of their strategic direction and growth for 2025 and beyond, this exciting role would offer you the opportunity to be a key player in a small team, to both mould their Marine portfolio and expand the Energy Liability offering which covers oil and gas, upstream, midstream, and downstream, onshore and offshore (US clients).You will have a proven background in underwriting with an in-depth knowledge of Marine and Energy Liability including experience of mid-layer and high excess insurance and with a good broker network, looking to take on a senior role within a growing insurer. Core areas of responsibility will include:

• Assisting in the creation and delivery of the business plan and be accountable for ensuring target income levels are met throughout the year and growth targets are met year on year
• Underwriting and managing a book of Marine and Energy Liability risks from initial negotiation through to servicing, while developing and maintaining relationships across the market
• As part of their senior team, you will closely with the exec across the group, driving the strategy and development of their Marine and Energy Liability book.
