Are you a senior mechanical design engineer looking for a new role which allows you the freedom to influence the process from start to finish with endless development opportunities, this could be the role for you.

Our client is an industry leader in designing specialist marine hardware, they are looking to hire an experienced senior mechanical design engineer on a permanent basis to support multiple projects from NPD to improving an existing portfolio of products.

Skills and experience

• 5-10 years’ experience working on new product development and re designing existing products.
• Expertise in CAD software (Client use Creo but can be flexible on this).
• Comfortable doing hand calculations.
• Experience in designing for various manufacturing processes such as; sheet metal fabrication, casting, machining etc.
• An understanding of the process of the design for moving/dynamic components - such as Motors, Gears, Mechanisms etc.
• Knowledge and demonstrable use of FEA.
• You will have worked in full product development lifecycle from specification, design and test.
• You should have worked in a fast-moving product development environment making decisions on the design processes yourself.
• Agile mindset, energy, and a passion for overcoming challenges.

This is a permanent role which requires the successful candidate to be onsite full time.
