Network Engineer - Broadcast/IT
Join a dynamic team as a Network Engineer, supporting critical broadcast and IT network activities across multiple regions from their London office. This role involves deploying, adjusting, and providing technical support for network infrastructure within a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, configure, and support infrastructure technologies, including networking and physical infrastructure.
- Support NOC locations in EMEA and US, handling rack usage, power, and change management.
- Monitor network bandwidth and compute resource utilisation for capacity planning.
- Ensure network security and proactive monitoring for quick issue resolution.
- Deploy new technologies and maintain effective relationships with global teams.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects during commercial bids to integrate network design.
- Assist in translating business requirements into actionable network solutions.
- Support Infrastructure Lead in vendor technology assessments and delivery management.
Key Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years in Network Architecture or Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, data-center LAN, SD networks, telephony, and network management.
- Experience with AWS or Azure architecture, and network certifications (e.g., Cisco, Arista).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Hands-on experience with security and firewall management.
- Proficiency in routing/switching technologies: OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VxLAN, multicast design and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Linux CLI/bash, Python).
- Experience in the broadcast/media industry and familiarity with media standards (e.g., SMPTE 2022/2110).
