About the Role:
As a Senior Nursery Nurse / Nursery Room Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursery room. You will be responsible for leading and managing a small team of nursery nurses, providing high-quality care and education to children. Your main duties will include:
- Planning and implementing engaging and educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of each child.
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting your team to maintain the highest standards of childcare.
- Ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress.
- Maintaining accurate records and adhering to all nursery policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a nursery setting, with at least 2 years of experience leading a room.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications (desirable but not essential).
