Senior Operations Data Analyst - Xpertise Recruitment Ltd : Job Details

Our client, a leading organisation in the insurance industry, is undergoing an IT transformation and is seeking a Senior Data Operations Analyst to support this critical project.

This is a hybrid role based in Central London, requiring on-site presence three days a week, with a salary of £80,000 - £85,000.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse business challenges, engage with stakeholders, and understand core insurance platforms and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain the Data Operations service for insurance products.
• Troubleshoot data queries and issues, providing resolutions or guidance to business users.
• Serve as the “Go-To” team member for analysis, supporting and coordinating with offshore capacity.
• Mentor team members while continuously enhancing your own technical skills.
• Provide guidance and upskill junior team members.

Required Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience working across various business areas within the insurance industry.
• Strong proficiency in working with complex data sets and data extraction from databases, cloud platforms, and unstructured files.
• Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders across all levels, from operational teams to executive leadership.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in SQL, Power BI reporting, and Excel modelling.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with business decision engines.
• Familiarity with semantic layer tools.
• Knowledge of best practices for Azure DevOps.
