Job Description:

Salt is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Fusion Support Consultant with a strong background in HCM and Payroll, specifically within Oracle Fusion environments. This role is critical for supporting our Central Government clients Oracle Fusion system, ensuring its stability, managing incidents, and preparing for future enhancements.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience managing L2 and L3 incidents, particularly in Oracle Fusion HCM (Human Capital Management) and Payroll modules. You must hold active SC clearance and have a proven track record of working within Central Government environments.

In this role, you will contribute to the stabilisation and continuous improvement of the Oracle Fusion system, including Payroll, HR, and Financials, while also leading and mentoring a team of civil servants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Incident Management:

    • Manage L2 and L3 incidents in Oracle Fusion HCM (especially Payroll), Finance, and Procurement.
    • Identify root causes of issues, create action plans, and ensure prompt resolution to minimise service disruptions.
    • Regularly update stakeholders on incident progress and perform post-incident reviews to improve processes.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management:

    • Thoroughly investigate system issues, develop long-term solutions to prevent recurrence, and continuously monitor solution performance.
    • Proactively identify potential problems in Payroll and HCM systems and address them before escalation.
  • Path to Live and Deployment:

    • Plan and execute activities to move changes from development to live environments, ensuring all Payroll, HCM, and Financials changes are tested, validated, and deployed smoothly.
    • Manage risk mitigation during the deployment process to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Mentoring and Training:

    • Lead and mentor civil servants, providing knowledge transfer and training programs on managing Oracle Fusion HCM, Payroll, and Financials.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members, helping them navigate technical and functional challenges.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

    • Work closely with third-party vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure continuous service improvement.
    • Document and update systems with progress on incidents, and update knowledge management databases as necessary.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Oracle Fusion Expertise:

    • Extensive hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion HCM, with a focus on Payroll systems and configurations.
    • Strong experience in Oracle Fusion Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA) and Procurement.
  • L2/L3 Incident Management:

    • Proven experience in managing L2 and L3 incidents in Oracle Fusion environments, with a focus on Payroll, HCM, and Financials modules.
    • Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop preventative measures.
  • Central Government Experience:

    • Previous experience working in UK Central Government environments is essential, including familiarity with public sector processes, security requirements, and governance.
  • SC Clearance:

    • Active SC clearance is mandatory for this role. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered.
  • Technical and Functional Leadership:

    • Experience leading and mentoring teams, particularly in the areas of Oracle HCM, Payroll, and Financials.
    • Ability to transfer knowledge, guide team members, and support the development of civil servants in a technical capacity.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong skills in SQL/PLSQL, BI Publisher, OTBI, and data migration tools.
    • Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and related reporting tools is highly desirable.
