Primary responsibilities/essential functions
- Reviews and implements guidelines and rules, coding them in the compliance system for Funds and client accounts, in a timely manner.
- Reviews and interprets client rules, guidelines, and regulations to determine how a rule should be coded in the compliance system.
- Implements internal guidelines and controls for managed funds.
- Implements internal rules as requested by Principal Investment Officers.
- Codes rules as part of broad, more complex, projects.
- Reviews and implements client guidelines for Equity and/or Fixed Income Funds / client accounts, liaising with Legal and the Marketing group by drafting, reviewing, and interpreting the rules, guidelines, and regulations for client accounts.
- Works with others to understand the objective of each mandate and determine standard ideal guidelines for each mandate.
- Participates in guideline negotiations.
- Provides leadership/direction to the team.
- Serves as technical resource and/or as a subject matter expert in one or more area(s) to the team and other departments to resolve issues.
- May perform quality checks and verify the accuracy of work prepared by other associates.
- Helps assess and identify training needs. Recommends future enhancements to training plans and adapts as needed.
- Through good judgment and decision making, helps manage the workflow to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Facilitates and/or chairs internal meetings.
- Serves as a positive role model and mentor for other associates.
