What you’ll be doingYou will be responsible for defining all aspects of the production methods and layouts to ensure the production processes are effective and predictable. Covering a broad range of operations from receipt of raw materials right through to packaging of fully tested finished products.

• Provide input to new and legacy projects to define equipment, standard operating procedures, drawings and tooling as required.
• Optimise and challenge the design with respect to DFM for new products
• Create and publish Product Engineering working processes and guidelines
• Introduce and Lead PFMEA and implement improvements
• Project manage transformation of production areas
• Develop manufacturing processes and introduction of bespoke equipment through robust validation
• Review and implement process improvements to reduce production costs
• Lead on the implementation of Engineering Changes on the shop floor
• Be first triage of ‘quality’ problems encountered in manufacturing

The skills you need

• Previous relevant production or manufacturing engineering experience, ideally in a low volume / high variety manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes relating to electronic components, including ESD standards
• Ability to read and interpret designs, wiring schedules and test documentation
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Good listener with the ability to influence stakeholders
