Senior Project Accountant - Robert Half : Job Details

Robert Half is working with a global business to recruit for a Senior Project Accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing monthly financial reports, providing financial expertise, and offering cost control guidance to project teams. You will also support the production of new contractual reports and play an integral role in improving processes and efficiencies within the business unit, with a focus on cost management and enhanced reporting. The role is based in Plymouth and offers a flexible working of 1-2 days in the office and a salary of up to £50k

Key Tasks to Include:

• Prepare project status reports and collaborate with project teams to maximise profitability while managing expenditure.
• Produce contractually required reports and maintain accurate reporting systems.
• Assist in the production of monthly financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
• Provide financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance internal reporting systems.
• Support and oversee the monthly invoicing process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Drive process improvement initiatives, focusing on improved cost controls and management reporting.
• Undertake ad hoc tasks as required by the finance and senior management team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
• Prior experience in management accounting or project accounting
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving financial processes.
