Senior Project Manager - CMC Markets : Job Details

CMC Markets are hiring a Senior Project Manager!

Role and Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the Head of Business Functions, Global Head of Delivery and Programme Manager to deliver end-to-end strategic business projects requiring coordination from numerous business areas to achieve a common business objective
• Key focus on Data Platform & Technology Transformation Portfolio
• Proactively manage risks and issues and agree suitable mitigation or corrective actions as needed
• Proactively manage project dependencies to ensure the overall project timeline remains on track
• Identify gaps or overlaps in projects and negotiate scope adjustments not only with the corresponding project managers but also with executives and sponsors.
• Identify gaps in business processes and suggest correction strategies
• Resource planning and forecasting
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels especially the executive level
• Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training
• When dealing with all customers, clients or colleagues ensure that we provide a clear, fair and consistent high-quality service that presents a professional and positive image of CMC Markets
• Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality
• Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role

Key Skills and Experience

• Must be an experienced Project Manager with track record of managing multi - disciplined complex projects
• Must have experience in Data Platforms & Technology Projects
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Experience in working in regulated environments
• Proactive in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
• Advanced communication, problem solving, negotiation, conflict resolution skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
• Able to work effectively with minimal supervision, taking ownership of tasks large and small
• Attention to details
• Flexible and adaptable approach to change
• Good understanding of project management methodologies
• Must have previous experience as a Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager
