Senior Quality Engineer - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading manufacturer in Barnsley, to recruit an ambitious, forward thinking Senior Quality Engineer who is comfortable taking on various roles within the Quality function and supporting to ensure compliance with company management standards and legislative requirements.

This person will be responsible for the Quality Management System and the associated accreditations. Its an excellent opportunity for someone to take the next step in their career and oversee the Quality function in a highly profitable manufacturing business.

Duties & Responsibilities;

• Provide quality leadership within the business
• To improve the company’s quality function and systems
• Review client designs and specifications to understand the quality standards for the product
• Conduct comprehensive quality assessment on suppliers and raw materials, work in progress and finished products according to relevant specifications
• To provide assistance in investigating non-conformances and updating the management system
• To support commercial department with engineering input into new opportunities and existing development

Experience & Skills:

• Experience working in a metallurgical/heavy engineering environment
• Experienced/qualified Metallurgist/Materials scientist
• A good understanding of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems
• Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in work
