The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and overseeing all aspects of the financial management and contractual management of construction projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, negotiate, and analyse costs for tenders and contracts.
- Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
- Conduct risk, value management, and cost control.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
- Prepare and submit financial reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Liaise with the project team, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Oversee procurement processes, including the selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in cost estimating, budget management, and financial reporting.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards chartership is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
