Senior Reinsurance Claims Adjuster - Property & Specialty

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Reinsurance Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a highly regarded and very well-known Lloyd's/London market business.

The key purpose of the role is to achieve prompt, accurate and consistent adjustment of claims liabilities in the Property & Specialty team.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly handling Property and Marine Excess of Loss Reinsurance Claims.
• Rejecting any invalid claims.
• Adjusting quantum of covered claims.
• Negotiating and resolving disputed claims.
• Ensuring accurate reserves are recorded.
• Liaising with co-insurers as required.
• Raising, recording and tracking queries on claims as required.
• Eliminating redundant reserves.
• Managing relationships with internal and external Lawyers and Adjusters.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience of handling Property and Marine Excess of Loss Reinsurance Claims within the Lloyd's Market, including experience of handling international claims. Candidates with a Broking background will also be considered, but they must have a good understanding of policy wordings.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
