As the Senior Social Media Executive, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies across multiple platforms, producing high-quality graphics and videos, crafting compelling captions, and utilising analytics to inform and improve strategic decisions. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, creativity, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with the company's brand identity, goals, and target audience.
- Manage and oversee social media content calendars, ensuring timely and consistent posting across all platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok).
- Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the company's social media presence remains innovative and effective.
- Design high-quality graphics and visuals using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva.
- Produce engaging video content using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Rush, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Craft compelling and engaging social media captions tailored to the voice and tone of the brand.
- Collaborate with other team members, including designers, copywriters, and marketing professionals, to create cohesive and engaging social media campaigns.
- Collaborate with external partners and providers to maximise new opportunities.
- Oversee and optimise our User-Generated Content (UGC) and influencer engagement strategies.
- Mentor a Marketing Apprentice in all aspects of social media.
- Utilise social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social or In-App analytics to track performance metrics, including engagement, reach, impressions, and follower growth.
- Analyse data to gain insights and inform future social media strategies and campaigns.
- Prepare and present regular reports on social media performance to stakeholders, highlighting successes, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across all social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster and grow the online community, encouraging engagement and interaction with the brand.
About You:
- You will have a strong background in marketing as well as having experience of managing a team.
- Demonstrate experience in brand management strategy with pipeline growth.
- Have proven budget management experience.
- Experience of leading a team.
- Experienced in all areas of marketing.
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Good eye for design to keep within brand guidelines.
- Excellent project and time management skills - a self-starter, able to confidently meet deadlines and handle a varied task list.
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Executive or similar role, with a portfolio of successful social media campaigns, graphics, and video content.
- Qualification in social media, digital marketing, graphic design, video production, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices.
- Proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva.
- Skilled in video production and editing using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to create engaging and persuasive captions.
- Analytical mindset with experience using social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hey Orca, Sprout Social).
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Creative thinker with a passion for social media and digital marketing.
- Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as strong collaboration skills within a team.
