Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent, and registration with Social Work England
• Strong emotional intelligence and analytical skills to handle challenging social and family situations
• Proficiency in using information technology and related systems
• Car driver

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and provide short-term interventions for children in need and their families
• Handle child protection enquiries and work collaboratively with the police and partner agencies
• Manage a caseload, achieving positive change and improved outcomes for children
• Utilize social work knowledge and emotional intelligence to make confident decisions
• Maintain accurate records using social work case recording systems
• Collaborate with partner agencies and professionals to provide effective social work interventions
• Promote the development and well-being of children, young people, and their families
• Facilitate permanency planning for children in care and ensure their safety and welfare
