Job Description:

Holden Knight Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of a local authorities in Berkshire/Suurey for experienced and passionate Senior Social Workers and Social Workers to join their Family Safeguarding Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dedicated team focused on safeguarding vulnerable children and supporting families to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying risks and creating tailored support plans.
• Lead on complex child protection cases, ensuring the safety and welfare of children is prioritised.
• Work closely with families to provide practical support and interventions, promoting positive change.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including health, education, and other social care professionals.
• Participate in regular case reviews, ensuring that decisions are in line with statutory guidelines and best practice.
• As a Senior Social Worker, offer mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Key Requirements:

• Social Work England registered with relevant experience in children's services, child protection, or safeguarding.
• Strong understanding of child protection legislation and best practices.
• Proven ability to handle complex caseloads and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to build rapport with families and work effectively within a multi-agency team.
• For Senior Social Workers, experience in a leadership or supervisory role is essential.
