Senior Software Developer - Broster Buchanan Ltd : Job Details

Broster Buchanan are partnered with a quickly growing financial services business who are currently going through their latest wave of hiring in their software development team, and are looking for a Senior C#/Python Software Engineer. This would suit someone who is comfortable being in a fast paced startup like environment, as well as in greenfield projects as they have a mix of modern and legacy software and are looking to migrate to a more modern tech stack.The role is offering a salary of £90k - £110k + bonus and offers flexible working with 2 days onsite in central London and the rest remote, as well as a great benefits package outlined at the bottom.Responsibilities:

• Drive technical initiatives, applying your knowledge in C# and more to craft robust, scalable software.
• Lead in design, implementation, and maintenance of high quality code.
• Champion and foster a culture of rapid, efficient and collaborative development.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to streamline and expedite the delivery of software solutions.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders, translating business needs into technical action.
• Promote a culture of open communication and collaborative problem-solving within the team.
• Set the standard for coding practices, contributing to automated testing and quality assurance.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering technical excellence.
• Oversee project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with a strategic eye.

Requirements:

• Must be proactive and self-driven, owning tasks with a collaborative spirit in a small, agile team.
• Plenty of hands on senior-level experience with the desire and ability to remain a hands-on developer.
• Must be strong in C# and Python, with experience in any legacy languages, and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and able to make quick but good judgements.
