Senior Software Engineer - Trading Solutions - REMOTE (in the U.K) - £120K

Have you been looking to switch things up or delve-deeper within the world of E-Trading?

We have just kicked-off this next round of recruitment for a long-standing client of ours who specialise in providing a range of SAAS products utilised by some the biggest names in the trading/finance space.

Together we are looking for experienced Senior Software Engineers with a track record of building cutting-edge platforms heavily utilising Core Java within a multi-threaded environment, whilst driving best engineering practices to come a play a key role in refactoring and improving code design across the product range.

As a Senior Software Engineer you can expect to;

• Build adaptable and resilient finance/trading platforms
• Be heavily involved in testing and automation.
• Take part in regular pair programming sessions.
• Regularly contribute and drive design based conversations.
• Help mentor and guide more Junior engineers.

To be considered, you must possess;

• Over 4 years of hands on experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong skills working with Java and specifically core Java.
• Regular exposure to writing multi-threaded code.
• Familiar with working within a "low-latency/high-throughput" environment.
• Strong advocate for best engineering practices (TDD, BDD & DDD)

Alongside the opportunity to get hands-on with software that is utilised around the globe, you will also be exposed to regular opportunities to explore new technologies and ways of working. Teams are regularly rotated to enable all staff to have a solid understanding of the whole system.

Salary wise, we have a base of £120K which is supplemented with a generous list of perks, shares in the business and of course the ability to work from anywhere in the U.K.
