Senior Software Engineer

• £525 per day (Umbrella)
• 3 Days a Week in Central London
• 12-Month Contract

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the evolution of global banking technology. This role involves working on critical financial systems that enable secure, high-speed transactions worldwide. You will modernize legacy applications, develop innovative solutions, and ensure seamless banking operations across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complex projects and deliver scalable technology solutions
• Oversee the planning, development, and deployment of banking applications
• Tackle technical challenges and provide expertise in urgent/wire payment processing
• Support and integrate Oracle Banking Payments Module (OBPM) and Oracle Flexcube
• Mentor engineering teams and ensure best practices in DevOps and agile development

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong software engineering background within banking or financial services
• Expertise in Java development, financial technology, and payment processing systems
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Jira, and enterprise banking platforms
• Proven ability to lead projects, solve complex technical issues, and collaborate across teams
• Desirable experience with Microservices, WebLogic, and automation tools
