We've got a fantastic new opportunity to join our growing Procurement team at Sovereign Network Group as Senior SRM Procurement Manager. This role will focus on supplierrelationshipmanagement (SRM) functionality and best practise to supportbusinessContractLeads to work with suppliers more effectively, including providing contractmanagement tools and skills development to drive value and innovationwith SNG's key suppliers.

Based from either our Basingstoke or Wembley office, you'll combine home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance. To support close collaborationwith the wider procurement team, there will be an expectation to travel to our Basingstoke office on a weekly basis.

The Role

Reporting into our Financial Planning, Procurement and Tax Director, you'll manage a team of two direct reports and take ownership for a consistent delivery model for SRM. Taking a data led approach, you'llidentifyopportunities to address contractvalue leakage and supportbusinesscontractleadswith tools to embed improved commercialcontractmanagementbest practice.

You'llcollaboratewith key stakeholders to proactively identify and report on areas where SRM can add measurablevalue, supportingcommercialcontract managers in tendering and delivering the expected savings and leading solutions in support of strategic goals and improving organisationaleffectiveness.

The SRM approach will align with SNG's procurementactivity, long-term strategy and transformation programme which puts business partnering, life cycle sourcing and ESG goals at the heart of ouractivities. Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, delivering and tracking of the annual procurement savings of contract savings initiatives, contributing to the total supplierrelationshipmanagement (SRM) project benefit and wider procurement savings target
  • Leading the effective contractmanagement and relationshipwith the appointed third party SRM software provider
  • Defining the governance model, including management of a benefits tracker to monitor SRM impact through reporting, capturing delivery of incrementalvalue, including collaborative work with the respective Finance Business Partner to validate the identifiedvalue
  • Developing and implementing a data led approach to use spend data and contractinformation to identifycommercialcontractvalue leakage
  • Establishing the capability across the organisation, led by targeted contractmanagementimprovementinitiatives that have quantifiable benefits, to support the consistent delivery of contract and performance management and outcome focussed supplierdevelopment, collaboration, and innovation
  • Providing knowledge and guidance on best practice in contractmanagement, performance management and supplierdevelopment
  • Managing the SupplierRelationshipManagement team with a focus on articulating a clear vision, providing direction, and fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuousimprovement

What we're looking for

You'll need to have demonstrableexperience within a similar senior role in procurement, with extensive experience of managing the commercial performance of contracts and evidence of successfullyleading on SRMactivities. You'll also need:

  • Demonstrableexperience in supplierrelationshipmanagementwith strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent stakeholdermanagement skills with proven ability to engage and influence others to deliver the best outcomes
  • Ability to demonstrate sound business acumen and robust commercial judgment and advocate bestcommercial practice
  • Experience in contract drafting and varying
  • To be well organised with a high attention to detail, and the ability to effectivelyprioritise multiple projects to tight deadlines
  • Experience of managing and coaching a high performing team
  • Experience of an analytical, data led approach to identifycontractvalue leakage opportunities combined with an understanding of legal contract models
