Key Responsibilities of the Senior Structural Engineer include:
- Leading structural engineering projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Managing resources, collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality project completion.
- Overseeing the design, analysis, and reporting of structural projects using tools such as Tekla Structural Designer (TSD), Tedds, AutoCAD, and REVIT (BIM).
- Staying up to date with CDM regulations, technical standards, and best practices in structural engineering.
- Representing the company at project meetings, maintaining strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Mentoring junior engineers, fostering their professional growth within the team.
- Managing time effectively to meet multiple project deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications for this Senior Structural Engineer include:
- At least 5 years of post-graduate experience.
- A relevant Engineering Degree (MEng, BEng Hons, or BSc).
- Chartered status with IStructE or ICE (or working towards).
- Proficiency in MS Office and structural analysis software (Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, AutoCAD, and BIM experience with REVIT).
- Solid experience in resource management and project delivery, with a strong understanding of CDM regulations and technical standards.
- Excellent report writing, data interpretation, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and time management abilities, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and handling multiple projects.
