Senior Support Worker / Team Leader

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker / Team Leader to join our team at a children’s home in Purley. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and who is ready to lead a team in providing exceptional care and support.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and motivate a team of support workers to deliver high-quality care and support to children in the home.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care and support provided, making adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to children, helping them with daily activities and personal development.
- Manage administrative tasks related to care provision, including record keeping and reporting.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating professional behaviour and high standards of care at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Support Worker in a children’s home, with at least one year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of child care regulations and best practices.
- A commitment to the personal and educational development of children.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Must be flexible and willing to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
