About the Role:
As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead by example, providing high-quality, person-centered care and support to individuals in our supported living homes. You will play a key role in mentoring and guiding the support worker team, ensuring that individuals receive tailored care that promotes their independence and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing direct support to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
- Leading shifts, including coordinating team activities and ensuring smooth operations.
- Supporting the development and delivery of person-centered care plans.
- Acting as a role model and mentor for other support workers.
- Conducting key administrative tasks, including recording care notes and reporting.
- Promoting positive relationships with individuals, families, and external agencies.
Shifts:
- Early shifts
- Late shifts
- Weekends
- Bank holidays
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a similar role within supported living or social care.
- A strong understanding of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and professional approach to care.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or willingness to work towards it).
- Enhanced DBS check (provided by the company).
- Medication Trained
