About the Role:

Reporting to a Software Engineering Manager, the Senior iOS Software Engineer is a pivotal contributor to a high-performing engineering team. We're seeking a seasoned professional who can drive complex projects from inception to completion while mentoring and guiding the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Own technical design for moderately complex projects. Mentor and develop team members, supporting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Product Delivery: Translate complex user stories into actionable tasks. Deliver high-quality iOS applications on time and within budget.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and implement effective solutions to complex technical challenges. Balance technical considerations with product goals.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional iOS applications.
  • Strong technical expertise in iOS development, including SwiftUI, UIKit, and relevant frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
The Role
  • Technical Leadership: Whilst not a management role you will be expected to have the experience to architect and develop reusable Swift frameworks, oversee CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and Fastlane and provide mentoring/coaching to team members in order to foster a culture of excellence.
  • iOS Development: Build high-quality iOS applications using SwiftUI, Widgets, and App Clips. Adhere to Clean Architecture principles.
  • Project Management: Break down complex projects into manageable tasks. Deliver projects on time, improving estimation accuracy.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges, providing innovative solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Write robust, testable code. Collaborate with QA to ensure product quality.
  • Compliance: Drive and maintain ISO27001 and PCI compliance within the team.
The PersonCandidates will need to be experienced iOS developers who are delivery focussed and can demonstrate where they've led on projects, solution design and delivery. This role can be based out of Newcastle or London and candidates will need to be able to travel into either site 4 times per month.This is a permanent position and will come with salary of up to £75,000.

Salary : 65000 - 75000
