Senior Technical Engineer - Onsite/Hybrid in London
Location: Onsite/Hybrid in London, remotely supporting sites across the UK and EMEA
About the Role:
As a Senior Technical Engineer your primary responsibility will be to deliver, support and manage complex systems, ensuring a customer’s expectations are exceeded throughout a systems delivery and lifecycle. The role will include working embedded within a global banking client supporting sites across EMEA. You will vary from bringing new systems online to keeping existing systems operational, whist continually identifying ways in which they can be improved from both the Customer’s and JCI’s perspective. The Senior Technical Engineer will also ensure that the relevant project (Change the Bank) / BAU (Run the Bank) related paperwork is created to achieve a smooth handover to other team members and ensuring the creation of timely and accurate project O&M information. As a Senior Technical Engineer, you are expected to provide support and training to other team members.
How You Will Do It
In this role, you will have hands-on experience with large enterprise CCURE and Victor VMS System. Regular communication with the Technical Services Manager, the Service Administration team, and the UK Service Manager is essential to provide updates and seek support when needed.
Be proactive in ensuring the Bank’s security systems are operating optimally.
Carry out detailed fault analysis, investigations, and produce detailed post-incident reports on system and asset failures, identifying root causes, and provide remediation measures for resolution.
Ensure that firmware and software upgrades are applied to all security assets, and work alongside the Bank’s technical teams in delivering system upgrades.
Ensure that all security assets are registered. Produce a monthly validation report and implement corrections. Escalate any known issues to management.
Support the Bank’s IT patching process. Carry out a risk assessment on any impact from the application of security and operational patches with a focus of reducing system downtime during the patching window (weekend work).
Complete asset lifecycle reviews for all security assets and provide recommendations for upgrading to a new version.
Oversee system programming and commissioning.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technical security and provide analysis, roadmaps, and guidance with a focus on integration, innovation, and continual improvement.
Arrange and/or conduct product demonstrations, technical training, and participate in workshops to ensure optimal system usage.

The Senior Technical Engineer role is an Onsite/Hybrid position in London responsible for the oversight of the security systems across the Bank’s UK and EMEA portfolio. The role focusses on maintaining the systems to deliver optimum performance and minimising business impact and service disruptions.
Working to SLA deliverables around reactive and system PPM tasks and understand the requirements to work in accordance with, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) where required.
We're on the hunt for more than just a technician; we need a problem-solving maestro. Your role demands proactive issue spotting and resolution, backed by exceptional customer service and industry-leading technical expertise. You should bring at least 3 years of experience in a Senior Technical Engineer or Systems Engineer role in a corporate environment, with a strong background in CCure 9000 and M&E building maintenance/electrical infrastructure services. Your extensive knowledge of Video Surveillance Systems, CCTV, intruder systems, and networking and server technology is key, along with experience in electrical AP standard working processes and procedures.
Required:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Technical Engineer or Systems Engineer role in the corporate environment.
Extensive knowledge of Video Surveillance Systems, CCTV, intruder systems and other security systems.
Experience in supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems, focusing on network and security settings
Good appreciation of IT and a broad understanding of computer system architecture
Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences. Demonstrating a structured approach to problem solving and written communication.
Strong planning, organization, and leadership skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Preferred:
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
Certification in CCURE L2 or Victor Video Management System (VMS)
