Senior Theatre Scrub Nurse/ODP

30 hours | Woodland Hospital Kettering

You will be delivering exceptional standards of clinical care to our surgical patients. You will have the opportunity to broaden your nursing experience by managing a stimulating case mixThe successful candidates will have proven current clinical NHS and/or independent sector experience in a range of surgical specialities.

The Hospital

The new development, a combined investment of £14.5 million, will provide much needed outpatient (including physiotherapy), diagnostics and theatre capacity to support the current waiting times for secondary care as well as meet the future demands of an ageing and growing local population, reaching over 250K people in Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough. The day case facility will provide 2 x laminar flow theatres, endoscopy suite, an ambulatory service, static CT, MRI, X-Ray & Ultrasound, 6 Consulting Rooms, and 1 Treatment Room. Our new facility will be launched at a time when Kettering General Hospital propose to commence their own redevelopment of their existing site, and therefore we can provide capacity and support to the local healthcare system whilst this is taking place.

What you’ll bring with you:

  • Current medical and/or surgical experience within a hospital environment

  • Current registration with the HCPC or NMC (UK) and ongoing CDP

  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant clinical standards in a surgical environment

  • The ability to work in other Clinical departments as required

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral

  • Excellent customer care skill

  • A good standard of computer literacy

  • The ability to work within a team

  • The ability to time-manage

  • Flexible during periods of low activity and work extra hours where required
