Senior Transport Planner (Highways)

£45,000 - £50,000 + Profit Share Bonus + Regular Learning and Development + Individualised Training Courses

Are you a transport planner or similar with experience in the design and planning of highways looking for a senior position with a company that heavily invest in the development of their staff?

This company is a leading consultancy within transport planning and highway design. They operate across the UK with a number of nationally recognised institutions and commercial developers both in the public and private sectors.

In this role you will be responsible for the preparation of transport assessments, statements and travel plans working collaboratively within the team, proactively supporting junior staff in developing their knowledge. As a senior, you will regularly liaise / consult with clients, contractors and local / national authorities on projects and requirements.

If you have experience working as a transport planner or similar with knowledge of highway design and planning, then this could be a great position for you!

The Role

• Prepare transport assessments, transport statements and travel plans
• Complete junction capacity assessments
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and local / national authorities
• Ensure all assigned projects are delivered on-time and to budget
• Site visits and designing surveys to provide reports and presentations

The person:

• Degree / or similar in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering
• Understanding of ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
• Experience of UK Transport Planning standards and processes
• AutoCAD knowledge
