Senior Underwriter - Commercial Lines - Residential

Hybrid Working - 3 Days PW - London

Our global insurance client are looking to expand their Commercial Lines Underwriting team with an experienced Home Underwriter who will have responsibility for growth and managing of the Residential Portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multinational corporation and expand you knowledge in this area.

As a key member of the team, key activities will include:-

• Underwriting new residential opportunities within EMEA by supporting pricing, product development and underwriting footprint as well as supporting existing business
• Keeping abreast of market conditions and how the residential market is developing to include competitor pricing and products
• Having a good understanding of Underwriting compliance and governance

Key Responsibilities will include:-

• Underwriting of residential new business and renewals
• Portfolio management by formulating an underwriting strategy to grow business and achieve profitability
• Analysis of industry trends
• Work closely with Actuarial, Data Science and Account Management consumer lines team to identify patterns, trends and potential risk factors
• Compliance and Regulation
