Job Advert: Service Charge Accountant (Ref: 003504)Location: Edgware, HA8 7JXSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 (commensurate with experience)Company: A leading firm based in North LondonA dynamic firm in North London is seeking an experienced Service Charge Accountant to join their Finance Team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role will be pivotal in managing service charge accounts and ensuring accurate financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:Prepare income and expenditure reports and related documents for external accountants to generate service charge accounts.Collaborate with external accountants to address and resolve queries.Ensure timely completion of year-end service charge accounts.Assist the Property Manager with budget reviews and analyses.Raise periodic service charge demands and ad-hoc recharges to tenants.Serve as a liaison with external parties, including clients, tenants, and suppliers, to resolve queries effectively.Assist during annual audits and the collection of outstanding service charge arrears.Prepare comprehensive client reports and perform bank reconciliations.Support the setup of new properties in the accounting system and handle associated handover processes.Engage in ad-hoc projects within the Accounts team as needed.Experience/Skills Required:Previous experience in service charge accounting is essential.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Excel; experience with Qube is desirable.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide assistance to colleagues when required.The company offers a competitive remuneration package and a vibrant work environment, making it an excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking to grow their career in finance.To apply , please send your CV and cover letter referencing Job Advert Ref: 003504.
