Location:RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience).

AWE is currently recruiting for a Bulk Waste Service Delivery Manager for the Radiochemistry Group.
This is a new role to join a team responsible for the bulk waste characterisation programmes at AWE as defined in Schedule 23 of the Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR16). The team's remit supports construction and demolition activities as part of the estate modernisation programmes across the Aldermaston and Burghfield sites. This outward facing role requires a high degree of stakeholder engagement to develop a comprehensive order book and schedule of work. There is a demanding volume of work to be scheduled with compressed timescales for completion. Coordination of the delivery team is essential to be able to deliver the highest priority tasks in the required time. Identification and implementation of long-term improvements for the team is desirable to build a reliable and effective service model, that is resilient to a continuous increase in demand.
The successful candidate needs to demonstrate the following skills:
- The delivery of high-profile projects/programmes of work.
- Be able to coordinate and influence a technical delivery service including leading regular meetings with the team and internal/external customers.
- Strong stakeholder and demand management skills with the confidence to engage at the senior level.
- Achieves excellence in communication, including strong presentation skills.
- Accountable for developing and maintaining effective relationships with customers.
- An understanding of business drivers and an ability to align the provision of services accordingly.
- Prioritising and working to challenging timescales both individually and for the team.
- Provision of planning and scheduling expertise in support of a delivery team with a range of skills including those of an analytical and practical nature.
- Development, integration, and analysis of project plans.
- A proficiency in of the best practice of planning processes and tools such as Microsoft Project.
- An analytical approach along with a passion for interpreting data, charts and spreadsheets and deriving the necessary performance indicators.
- Familiarity with Office 365 skills e.g. Office, Teams, planner, SharePoint, Forms.
- Maintains and promotes high personal standards in teamwork, environment, safety, health, security and quality.

- Someone with a background in enabling teams to deliver, confidently and proactively fronting the interactions with stakeholders and managing stakeholder expectations to allow the team to focus on their tasks.
- A highly motivated, enthusiastic, and organised individual with keen attention to detail.
- A holistic perspective for the process as whole/system and how to yield efficiencies.
- Long term vision and an ability to implement stepped improvements to the characterisation service.
- Commercial/contract experience/management- contractor management.
You'll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
