Security Service Engineer

Role Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Security Service Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our strong relationships with esteemed blue-chip customers.

You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining their CCTV and Access Control systems, with occasional opportunities for installation and commissioning work. This position primarily involves visiting customer sites in the Brighton area and surrounding locations, so a customer-focused attitude is essential.

Your ability to work collaboratively within a team and interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and other trades will be vital in presenting a positive image of JCI.

As a Security Engineer, you will report directly to the Local Service Supervisor and work closely with the Customer Service Manager. We are looking for someone eager to improve their skills, willing to undergo training on new and existing enterprise solutions, and interested in developing a rewarding career.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage all paperwork efficiently.
  • Ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
  • Effectively manage your workload.
  • Maintain high standards in quality management.
  • Achieve company KPIs for attendance in line with client SLAs.
  • Collaborate and work as part of a team.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address challenges.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Understand and meet the guidelines and standards of work expected by JCI.
  • Present a professional appearance and demeanor, aligning with both client and company expectations.
  • Set a positive example for colleagues by adhering to company rules, regulations, and site-specific protocols.
  • Complete all necessary company documentation punctually, including Time Sheets, Expense Claims, and Site Reports.
  • Observe and contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment in line with company health & safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

Experience with CCure and Genetec is preferred, but not essential. If you have worked with other enterprise-level systems and demonstrate a strong ability to learn, we are committed to providing the necessary training.

Experience:

A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role is required.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in the Security/CCTV/Access Control sector.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
  • Effective planning abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable timekeeping.
  • Flexible approach to work; willingness to work extra hours, including occasional out-of-hours/weekend call-outs.
  • Experience with CCure, Genetec, VideoEdge, Milestone, and Avigilon.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Desire to share knowledge and contribute to team success.
  • Self-motivated and confident.
  • Practical, highly adaptable, and cooperative.
