Passionate about people, you’llenjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career too, as youwill gain the experience and training you need to progress your career withus.As a Service Manager, you will join The Mill supported living service thatsupports 12 young people (aged 16- 21) who are threatened with homelessnessleaving care looked after children or young people at risk.### Role ResponsibilityAs a Service Manager you will have knowledge and experience of working withyoung people with complex needs, homelessness, children who are looked afterand in transition to leaving care or care leavers who struggle to maintain atenancy as a result of complex and unmet needs. You will be able to supportyoung people and to maximise their benefits, gain independent living skills,promote independence, health wellbeing and healthy lifestyle choices as wellas supporting them to maximise their involvement in local training, education,and employment opportunities.### The Ideal CandidateWe’re ideally looking for a Service Manager with an NVQexperience in Youthwork, as well as solid understanding of homelessness and the impact this hason the wellbeing of young people. You will a have experience in supportplanning, re-engaging and motivating young people to participate in employmentand work programmes, education, training, volunteering and skill buildingopportunities. As a Service Manager the hours of work are flexible to theservice need, so may include some evening and weekend working, and the rolealso involves covering local manager on-call Rota. You will have leadershipexperience and be capable of managing the day to day running of the Projectteam.
