Service Technician Refrigeration

Role Overview
As a service technician, you will provide in-service support for our equipment, including chilled water plants, refrigeration systems, and HVAC solutions. This role demands versatility, adaptability to new technologies, and a proactive mindset, as you'll be working on a diverse range of equipment. Working onshore on large scale chillers 10,000Kw inside plant rooms of Navy Vessels and Commercial Marine Vessels.

What You Will Do
Commission and test equipment, including conducting HAT/SAT/CST trials.
Perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, and complete repairs and retrofits.
Support factory acceptance trials at our Basildon facility when required.
Provide technical support and advice to project teams and clients, including training.
Maintain accurate records of work and report on any emergent issues.
Ensure a safe working environment and high levels of customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
Strong mechanical and electrical skills, particularly in fault-finding.
Ability to work independently, manage workload, and handle multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach.
Familiarity with the Navy/Marine environment is an advantage but not essential.
Knowledge of PLC/microprocessor-based systems is a plus, along with experience in HVAC systems and air balancing.
Flexibility to travel to ports around the UK and international when required
Flexibility to work weekends when required
SC UK MOD Security Clearance required (screening provided by JCI).
Preferred qualifications:
Apprenticeship-trained in refrigeration or HVAC.
City & Guilds, NVQ, or BTEC in refrigeration/HVAC.
F-Gas (C&G 2079).
Electrical qualifications are desirable but not essential.
