Shift Supervisor

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Supervisor to join a dedicated Production team. This is a key role where you will take the lead in ensuring the smooth running of daily packing operations, focusing on safety, food quality, and operational efficiency. Your leadership will help shape a collaborative team environment and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Lead your shift to meet productivity, safety, and quality targets. Maximize efficiency by organizing team rotations and ensuring full shift coverage.

• Safety & Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to HSE policies and food safety standards.

• Team Development: Lead, coach, and develop your team to improve skills and performance continuously. Manage attendance and contribute to performance appraisals.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for waste reduction and operational improvements through Lean and CI initiatives.

• Problem-Solving: Tackle operational issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring smooth, ongoing production.

The Person:

We’re looking for someone proactive, driven, and passionate about sustainable food production. You should bring:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role in FMCG food manufacturing.
• A strong understanding of IFS, BRC food standards, and factory processes.
• Competency in using SAP/ERP systems.
• A commitment to developing your team and driving continuous improvement.
• Relevant qualifications such as Food Safety Level 2 and NVQ Level 2 in Manufacturing Operations (Desirable: IOSH, Lean Six Sigma, People Management Diploma).
• Competitive salary with shift allowance.

Working Environment

• Shift pattern: rotating days and nights
• Physical requirements: Standing for extended periods and working across production, blending, and warehouse areas.
• Occasional office-based meetings are required.
