A great opportunity has arisen for a Shipping Team Leader to join a company based in High Wycombe. You will be working for a global business that is recognised as the global market leader in the materials testing industry, responsible for numerous industry firsts and continuously developing products and services to improve the testing experiences of their customers.
Responsibilities:
- Managing day to day shipment tasks & overseeing team tasks
- Ensuring all shipments are commercially clear & compliant with export controls
- Revenue forecasting based on expected title transfer dates
- Month End Freight accruals
- Carrier invoice approvals
- Handling escalations
- Training & support for direct reports
- Regular 1-2-1's
Requirements:
- Previous team lead experience
- Excellent Organisation skills
- Understanding of product shipment procedures including in depth understanding of incoterms
- Knowledge & understanding of Letters of Credit
- Keenness to learn and develop new skills
- Sound analytical and interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- A good demonstration of prioritisation within a multi-function role.
- Strong communication skills, internally and externally, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial departments.
- A high standard of computer literacy
- Excel/Word advance knowledge (VLOOKUP's essential)
