TimePlan Education is seeking SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistants for full-time roles in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a genuine interest in supporting students with special needs, helping them reach their full potential in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN), including SEMH, ensuring they are engaged and making progress.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning strategies.
- Support students in both academic and social aspects of their development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people, ideally within a school setting.
- Experience with SEN is essential, ideally Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) - this could be professionally, or personally.
- Confident with challenging behaviour
- Must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Ability to commit to the full school day, Monday to Friday, during term time only.
