Walker and Sloan are proud to be working with a well known marketing agency in Bath, as they are keen to bring on board a Social Media Manager to the team on a full time basis, with hybrid working.
Role Purpose
As an agency dedicated to cycling and the great outdoors, we help brands connect with riders and outdoor enthusiasts across the world through their social channels.
As Social Media Manager, your role is to plan, drive and implement social media marketing for the agency clients. You will take responsibility for ensuring that all social content is delivered against a strategic plan that you will have helped create and own moving forward, is creatively brilliant, and is effective and achievable within budget.
The role will require you to:
- Develop new social strategies and content plans that connect and build a strong affinity with consumers. As a Social Media Manager, your responsibilities for the strategic side of the role will be greater than as an Exec, and you will not only be creating the content, but planning it and contributing much more to the research and strategy side of the team too.
- Researching and compiling reports and insights on ambassadors, influencers and creators for our clients to work with as part of campaigns and always-on social and content activity.
- Writing, delivering, and managing the process of social briefs to get the best from both internal and external creative suppliers, such as SHIFT’s creative team, athletes, ambassadors, and client teams.
- Determine the evaluation requirements and produce reporting for the social clients you manage on a monthly or quarterly basis (and ad hoc as required).
- Writing and editing copy, creating and editing images, and creating, editing and working with video to ensure effective content and quality standards are upheld, and that content is correctly tailored for each brand, aligned to tone of voice and style guides.
- Develop a strong day-to-day relationship with key clients and internal stakeholders, being recognisable as the trusted 'face’ of SHIFT social to our clients that you directly manage. Part of this is understanding that sometimes the event-driven nature of our work means occasional weekend and evening work, to be agreed with lots of notice in advance.
- When a hire is made for the role, you will manage a Social Media Exec, ensuring their output is of a high quality and on plan, and supporting and covering them at key periods.
