We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Value Manager to join our team within Vistry South London, at our office in Stratford. As our Social Value Manager, you will establish and promote the role of Vistry in generating social value and community benefits across all South London projects. This involves developing relationships with councils, local community groups, and stakeholders, and managing initiatives that provide a positive impact on our communities as outlined in project-specific social value strategies. These initiatives contribute to the overall business unit (BU) social value vision.

- Develop and lead a vision for social value within the BU, influencing its integration as a core part of the business strategy.
- Represent Vistry externally on matters of social value, participating in industry forums, conferences, and webinars to stay at the forefront of new thinking and innovation.
- Develop, manage, and deliver a range of social value initiatives across projects that align with the broader BU social value vision.
- Support and oversee current meanwhile initiatives, including a community garden and skills academy, ensuring their successful implementation and sustainability.
- Ensure comprehensive engagement and communication with the community and partners during development projects, building effective links with local groups, schools, councils, and key stakeholders.
- Develop relationships with partners and suppliers to deliver project-specific social impact initiatives, formalising these through Service Level Agreements where appropriate.
- Assist the new land and business team with social value and community information during tender bids and submission stages.
- Manage resources within allocated budgets, ensuring service delivery, funding processes, and project compliance. Manage Community Chest (grant funding) and associated governance procedures.
- Use tools like Social Value Portal/Sustain IQ (or similar) to monitor and report on social value delivered through initiatives.
- Contribute to Monthly Project Update Reports and prepare performance and evaluation information for the Board.
- Attend and prepare for monthly/quarterly Council/Partner S106/Social Value monitoring meetings, providing necessary information and feedback on key issues.
- Manage and coach the Skills and Employment Coordinator, ensuring their continuous development.
- Work closely with the Skills and Employment Coordinator to align the delivery of Social Value and Skills and Employment Strategies where they overlap.
- Support the Skills and Employment Coordinator in attending relevant events, such as job, careers, skills and training fairs, procurement local supplier/meet the buyer, and school events.
- Capture and highlight achievements in social value initiatives to support work winning, marketing, and communications efforts, ensuring Vistry is recognised as a leader in the field.
