Social Work Assistant, LeicestershirePay rate £18.54 per hour  Vitalis Social Care are recruiting for an experienced Social Work Assistant to join an Older and Disabled People’s Services Team in Leicestershire.Job Purpose and Responsibilities: - The promotion and maintenance of a high standard of care; to ensure the emotional, physical and social wellbeing of residents in the Home, considering the personal rights of each resident.To be responsible for carrying out all the duties of the job in accordance with the  County Councils equal opportunity policy. 

• To show an understanding of resident’s needs.

• To encourage residents to achieve maximum independence (by assisting residents to meet their own needs, whenever possible).

• To attend to personal hygiene needs, e.g. bathing, hair care, visits to the toilet, including the use and emptying of commodes, dealing with incontinence and emptying catheter bags.

• To give assistance to all residents as needed, especially help with walking, feeding and dressing.

• To administer first aid when necessary.

• To serve meals and drinks; ensure special diets are given to the appropriate resident.
