Social Worker - Children in Need and Child Protection Service - Croydon, UK - £38.50 Hourly - OngoingThis is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Children in Need and Child Protection Service in Croydon. Working full-time at 36 hours per week, you will report to the Team Manager and earn £38.50 per hour. This ongoing role involves managing a diverse Children and Families caseload, with responsibilities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure children's welfare is safeguarded and promoted. What you will do:

  • Manage and review a Children and Families caseload that includes complex and diverse cases
  • Collaborate with children, parents, and family members as partners in assessment, planning, and the delivery of support
  • Empower service users and develop strategies to help them manage and respond to risk
  • Engage and coordinate with partner professionals and agencies to deliver comprehensive support
  • Monitor and document engagement with children and families to ensure quality assurance
  • Stay updated on current research and policies and apply these in practice
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including education, health, and social services
  • Liaise with and engage community organisations, schools, and other contributing agencies
