This role offers a chance to impact children’s lives positively while working in a supportive and professional environment.You will be required to work from the office for at least three days per week. This role demands expertise in court work, child protection, child in need, and addressing extra familial risk and harm.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this dynamic role, your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Morning Meetings: Participate in core group meetings with professionals such as child protection officers, nurses, and mental health workers to review child protection plans.
- Case Management: Handle new case allocations, conduct investigations, and follow up on ongoing cases, such as joint inquiries into serious allegations like sexual abuse.
- Home Visits and Assessments: Visit children and families to assess their living conditions, ensure safety, and build trusting relationships.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to emergencies, such as addressing immediate safety threats or supporting children facing challenges in foster care.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, update case files, and write statements for court proceedings
- .Collaboration: Work with professionals across education, healthcare, and law enforcement to deliver comprehensive family support.
- Emotional Support: Help children and families navigate challenges, offering guidance and connecting them to therapeutic services when needed.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo excel in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of three years' post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in court work.
- Strong expertise in child protection practices.
