Software Architect

We are delighted to offer a unique role for a motivated Software Architect or mid-level Software Developer to join a tech team in London, overseeing the travel systems and API integrations for a fast-growing online travel company. This role is working closely with the department manager and offers an exciting opportunity for a mid-level developer from the travel industry who is eager to enhance their skills and progress their career down the Software Architect route.

Location: London - 2 days a week in office

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum + comprehensive benefits

Requirements for Software Architect:

• Strong understanding specifically with travel APIs and XMLs
• Experience in both front-end and back-end development with a good knowledge of full-stack technology
• Experience working in the travel industry is essential
• Strong commercial experience working in technology
• Experience with PHP & Laravel is highly beneficial - although Polyglot Developers who are keen to learn new languages are encouraged to apply
• Any exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure is also beneficial along with any SQL experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ideally, you will be degree-educated in computer science or a related field

Responsibilities for Software Architect

• Resolve technical issues, ensuring seamless integration between travel systems and APIs
• Ensure effective system management and communication among technical teams
• Manage the day-to-day operations of travel systems, including API connections
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify areas for optimization and system improvement
• Assist the department manager in creating a long-term strategy for system optimisation.
