About The RoleTeam – IT Optimisation - IT Operations Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working!What this role is all about:This exciting opportunity will put you in charge of the development and management of centralised policies, and practices for the running of Vitality's technology software assets.  This will ensure accurate compliance of software, responding to both vendor and internal audits and user queries within expected timelines.Key Actions
  • Responsible for the development and management of centralised policies, processes and procedures for the management of technology software assets, including maintaining configuration items naming conventions, identification standards for object types, environment, processes, etc.
  • Responsible for the rollout, maintenance (including subsequent new releases) and administration of a Software Asset Management solution, including integration with other systems.
  • Responsible for the recording of license entitlement, re-harvesting, identify areas of cost optimisation opportunities, prepare recommendations and implement.
  • Lead the design, development and maintenance of workflow approvals for the automation of software license management requests.
  • Design, development and maintenance of software asset templates in the software asset management solution.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, and that data completeness and quality issues are quickly identified and escalated to the responsible data or process owner.
  • Responsible for the effective management of inquiries about software usage, deployment, license availability, process and governance.
  • Support with the organisations’ response to software vendor license compliance audits or license validation requests.
  • Monitor changes to license terms and conditions, alerting stakeholders to licensing changes that are relevant to them.
  • Respond to queries on entitlement, process and governance via the compliance mailbox.
  • Build and maintain working relationship with key departments such as Sourcing, Finance and external software license providers
What do you need to thrive?
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally within an operational or IT environment.
  • Software Asset Management qualification; or more than 4 years of relevant experience with management of software licenses.
  • Certified Administrator in software asset management tool or 4+ years experience using a Software Asset Management tool, Flexera preferred
  • Experience of managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to identify and improve performance measurement and reporting processes in a large organisation
  • Experience of creating and distributing comprehensive reports from a number of sources back to the business
  • Demonstrable ability to manipulate data and summarise complex reports to present to non-specialists
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office Professional including Word, PowerPoint, Excel (advanced skills) and common diagramming tools
  • Ability and confidence to take charge of diverse tasks and deliver high quality work in a dynamic environment
  • You can present in a professional and business-like manner to internal and external customers/ stakeholders
  • Handling confidential information with tact and sensitivity
