Software Developer - Classic ASP - Reed : Job Details

A large employer based just outside of Newcastle are seeking an experienced developer to come in and support them develop and maintain legacy applications. You will be working as part of a development team who manage a suite of customer facing applications. The current team’s technical strengths lie in C#.NET and .NET Core.They are looking to bring in an experienced developer who would be able to take ownership of legacy applications specifically a classic ASP application.If you have skills in Classic ASP, are happy to work on maintaining an existing application and, are also interested in working on newer tech, this could be the role for you.Salary- £50,000 to £60,000Benefits:·         Hybrid working (2 days in Newcastle ideally)·         Flexible working hours promoting a good work-life balance·         Excellent pension contribution of 12%Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain web applications using Classic ASP. Collaborate with cross-functional teams Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications. Optimize application performance and ensure scalability. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.Requirements:Proven experience as a Classic ASP Developer. Experience with SQL Server and database design. Familiarity with C#.NET is desirable Understanding of web security principles and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills.
