Software Developer Java, C and C++, SQL, JavaScript

Hybrid Working - 3 days per week in the Southampton office

£45,000 - £50,000

You will make a key contribution to development and the success of customer projects. Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, test, and validate software issues; resolve issues with due urgency and maintain thorough documentation of all software solutions
• Participate in design decisions for new and existing application development, proactively escalating issues and seeking assistance to overcome obstacles
• The ability to identify and correct software issues within the code while triaging
• Perform testing to ensure systems meet documented user requirements
• Use a disciplined approach in an Agile environment to assist in analysis and determination of preferred solutions to technical challenges
• Perform engineering level tests to find defects; troubleshoot and debug development and production issues, collaborating with QA Engineers to develop optimal product test plans
• Provide on-call (after hours) support for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Skills Required:

• Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or similar
• 3-6 years' experience designing and developing new or maintaining existing software applications in a software product development environment
• Experience in Java, C and C++, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Delphi
• Knowledge of databases and operating systems
• Experience in using an issue tracking system a plus
